Mission Statement

 

Founded in 1983, the Insurance Data Management Association (IDMA) is an independent nonprofit professional association dedicated to increasing the level of professionalism, knowledge, and visibility of insurance data management through education, research, annual forums, local chapter meetings, news bulletins, and peer-to-peer networking.

It serves individuals employed in any aspect of insurance data management. IDMA’s 3500 plus, and growing, members are engaged in enterprise information governance activities within various functional areas of insurance companies, regulatory bodies, statistical/rating organizations, industry consulting firms, professional associations, and learned societies, and technology research and services providers. 

Careers are kept on track and organizations remain competitive through continuing education. IDMA provides the insurance industry with a professional forum dedicated to supporting our industry’s data managers and providing educational programs to keep them current on data management issues.

IDMA’s offerings include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Certification programs and educational training workshop designed to increase professional proficiency in insurance data and information governance.
